Le jeu place le joueur dans la peau d'un protagoniste encore sous le choc du décès de sa fille, appelé à l'hôpital local placé en quarantaine après une découverte inquiétante dans la mine environnante. L'intrigue se resserre sur la panique grandissante des habitants, certains se transformant en créatures aux yeux rouges brillants et aux crocs acérés, dont il faut percer l'origine.

Du côté de l'accueil, un joueur sur Metacritic a souligné la solide atmosphère gothique du titre et une bande-son inquiétante qui installent parfaitement le climat d'un mystère surnaturel, saluant au passage les visuels et la musique.

« Vampire Saga: Break Out delivers a strong gothic atmosphere and an eerie soundtrack that perfectly set the mood for a supernatural mystery. The visuals and music work harmoniously to pull you into the world, making the exploration enjoyable—at least initially. However, the execution of the hidden object scenes leaves much to be desired. The design choices can be awkward and impractical. For example, the large wheel you must collect in one instance takes up nearly 50% of the screen, making it difficult to interact with other items or see the rest of the scene clearly. Another drawback is the vague instructions at times, leaving you unsure of what to do next. This lack of clarity disrupts the otherwise engaging flow. Additionally, the mechanic of collecting an object in a scene and immediately using it in the same scene feels overdone. It removes the challenge and makes the game feel repetitive rather than rewarding. Vampire Saga: Break Out excels in atmosphere and haunting soundtrack. It’s a must-play for fans of gothic adventures who enjoy puzzles and immersive storytelling and don't mind some flaws. »
