Tumble VR
Description (IGDB)
Tumble VR takes the the original, much loved, PlayStation 3 game and rebuilds it from the ground up for PlayStation VR - complete with a brand new visual style, a load of new levels and some great new modes. Tumble VR is best described as an accessible, fun, engaging and immersive puzzle game. When you pull the PlayStation VR headset on we place you in an arena that will test both your physical dexterity and mental skills. Working your way through a gauntlet of tests - from simply building a tower, to creating bridges, working out fiendish puzzles and blowing up enormous towers of blocks - Tumble VR will push your skills and brainpower to the limit. Alongside the new levels and visuals for Tumble VR, we have also added a new competitive mode. This uses the PlayStation VR Social Screen feature that allows a second player to play on the same TV together with the VR player to create a social VR experience.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« Tumble VR builds on the successful formula found in the original PlayStation Move title, with virtual reality greatly adding to the experience. »
« Tumble VR is easily one of the most comprehensive games among the PSVR's launch line-up, both in terms of longevity and mechanical depth. While not the kind of quintessential puzzle game that can stack up to this year's best (The Witness), Supermassive Games' virtual reality stack-a-thon stands tall on Sony's virtual reality machine. »
« Simple, yet complex puzzles, combined with a GLaDOS-like taskmaster, have you laughing and constantly wanting more. »
« A thoroughly engrossing puzzle game. [Issue#180, p.47] »
« A must-own puzzler. [Dec 2016, p.89] »
« This VR version of Tumble changes everything, thanks to the ability to see the depth, to a game world that surrounds the player completely, and the chance to turn literally around the structures. »
« Solid VR puzzler with nice immersion, some control issues and a steep learning curve. »
« Tumble is a good example of the tactile feedback a combination of motion controls and virtual reality can bring, and importantly, it’s something people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy, and understand. »

« Это головоломка у духе тетриса. А местный робот отдаёт Гледос из портал, но с целью построить самую высокую башню, как пример... и в самых необычных условиях и на время. Необычно просто и увлекательно сложно. Вы ходите вокруг центра комнаты и собираете конструктор. Что ещё может быть круче для релакса чем идеальная головоломка? »
« It's stacking blocks in virtual reality. It was one of the launch titles and it was ok as that but there are more interesting vr games now. »
« An unrecognized gem in the PSVR library. Engaging puzzles that leaves room for creativity and tight design. »
« This game is fun in fairly short bursts. Playing for more than an hour at a time will probably bore you, but it's always fun to come back to and continue on a few more levels. It's a pretty simple game so what is there looks good. Great textures to make you believe that the blocks are actually made of the material they claim to be made of. I haven't finished the game yet but so far the puzzles are all fairly straight forward. I'm still hoping for more of a challenge in coming zones, if there are indeed more zones after Zone 5. A solid little game to add to your VR collection. »
« I expected Tumble to be just about stacking blocks, but was surprised to find a few different modes such as measured explosions (try and blow a stack of blocks as far as possible with a limited number of bombs) and and laser light bounce off levels. For the price of entry this is well worth the money. The Tumble PSVR immersion is both cool and comfortable and the game has a real one-more-go factor about it. Recommended. »
« Do you like Jenga and games like these? then this is for you. I like it a lot, I play it a lot, it's very nice, just find the way to create the tallest tower, or add the highest quantity of blocks to the construction, or play with mirrors and lasers, solve puzzles, etc etc. Nothing new at all, but very fun when you play it in VR. »
« Surprisingly addictive and satisfying. A lot of content for the lower price point. Would recommend to anyone and everyone, my favourite VR launch game by far. »
« So Patrick did a review about how this game is just slightly puzzly... I don't think he went to the 2nd set of challenges, where you have to toss away a falling rock, while you stack stuff that can barely fit under the range of a bar that goes back and forth. So as you are stacking cylanders on their sides, and planks that are twice as long as your building square, while also trying to put the heavier stuff where it has support, while a bar keeps going back and forth, and a rock keeps falling that you have to grab and toss away.... It's really hard to explain what Tumble in VR is like. Basically to me it's a palette cleanser. It's something you might mess with before you get ready for bed, so you can forget about how much you hated your coworkers today. I wish that in order to do a review for a game you have to have beaten half of the game. I haven't gotten that far just yet, but to me, for the $10, it's something different. Also the robots are incredibly snarky. "Oh this one is easy, really it's just a formality, finish it and we'll move on" or "Humans I hear need extra motivation. Here is a medal for if you do a good job. Medals are fun! Yay!" (all done in a monotone robotic voice which makes you wanna punch the thing) I don't know what to tell you about this game to be honest. It's not a must have, the demo is really short, all the real game takes place after the demo... There is just something indescribably satisfying about tossing away things you don't want, grabbing the piece you do want, putting it in carefully, and then moving on. They even have a sarcastic line about a dramatic increase in the learning curve, as they have you stack blocks on a tilted base... I can only imagine what the higher levels are like. If anyone is complaining about the simplicity of the puzzles they probably haven't made it to the 3rd level of puzzles.1 »
