Sorti le 21 février 2002 sur Game Boy Advance, Tom and Jerry: The Magic Ring est développé par Cave+Barn Studios et édité par NewKidCo. Dans ce titre, Jerry a accidentellement coincé un précieux anneau magique sur sa tête et doit trouver un moyen de s'en débarrasser avant que Tom ne tente de le lui retirer de force. Le joueur peut incarner Tom ou Jerry dans un gameplay de type « run and fight », utilisant diverses armes pour recréer l'action burlesque des dessins animés classiques de la série.
L'accueil critique s'est révélé mitigé. GameZone a salué un titre « delightfully animated », tandis qu'IGN a regretté un manque de variation des ennemis entre les niveaux et une progression mal pensée. Du côté des joueurs, certains ont trouvé le jeu incroyablement répétitif passé les premiers niveaux, quand d'autres ont concédé une certaine répétition mais estimé que les critiques négatives provenaient surtout de joueurs bloqués face à un personnage de la cuisine.

« I find it incredibly repetitive. You might fight different characters, but they are all equal **** gets boring after about 4 or 5 levels because it is the same thing every time. I recommend this only to little kids. »
