The Island of Dr. Frankenstein, sorti le 13 novembre 2009 sur Wii, se présente comme une aventure épique et amusante demandant au joueur d'être intelligent, habile et perspicace. L'accueil critique fut en revanche très mitigé, le site Worth Playing jugeant ainsi qu'il vaut mieux dépenser ses vingt dollars ailleurs tant le titre ne mérite ni le temps ni l'attention des joueurs, tandis que Digital Chumps déplorait le peu d'éléments agréables à tirer de l'expérience, en particulier à cause de quêtes de collecte répétitives.
