« Metroid game to its core. Like Fusion, super metroid and zero mission it has lots of interconnected areas which wont leave player bored. Bosses feel fun and challenging. No boring cutscenes to fill the gameplay. Clearly effort was made when they made this metroid. »

« Véritable découverte de la licence, l'atmosphère du jeu est aussi cool qu'oppressante par moments. Visuellement très cool, les EMI m'ont fait vraiment flipper, surtout au début, mais tout du long ils mettent la pression ! Le jeu invite à l'exploration, mais malgré un côté “linéaire”, j'ai été pas mal perdu à certains moments, obligé de regarder sur internet ! Certains combats et moments étaient super durs à passer, mais rien d'impossible… même si j'ai bien failli me fracasser le crâne parfois. L'histoire était cool, vraiment surprise par le plot twist final ! Un jeu dur mais bien cool ! »

« The gameplay is great, story is cool, the graphics are awesome and the animation in the cinematics is astounding. I love the tension that the EMMI’s give when they’re chasing you around. As a MASSIVE lifelong Metroid fan, there’s one thing that is keeping me from giving this a 10 . . . the music. The music is the worst in the series, it’s complete and utter garbage. It takes a huge back seat when it comes to boss fights and gives no sense of excitement or epic moments. What should feel like an intense and exciting time when fighting against a boss that fills the screen feels more like a drab and uninteresting fight. If anything, pick this up for the gameplay, it’s worth it. »

« It's a game that opens up as you play. One of the best examples of its genre. Constantly gaining new features keeps the gameplay fresh. The graphics, atmosphere, gameplay, and responsiveness are excellent. I didn't get too immersed in the story. It's a high-quality game that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who loves Metroidvania games. »

« This is one of the best Metroid games next to Super Metroid. Mercury Steam really improved everything from their last Metroid game and made one of the most responsive feeling games I've played. The amount of sequence breaking potential makes this game very fun to replay. The boss fights are done super well with some of them being the best in the series. The story of the game perfectly wraps the story that the previous 2D games have been telling in a bow and is the perfect send off for Samus Aran. »
