Sorti le 27 avril 2005, Liberty Wings est décrit comme un jeu de combat aérien se déroulant pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Concernant son accueil critique, le média Slide to Play a estimé qu’il s’agit d’un shoot 'em up solide mais sans réelle originalité face à la concurrence, déclarant : « It's certainly a solid shoot 'em up, but Liberty Wings doesn't do much to distinguish itself from the hordes of others in the App Store. » De son côté, 148Apps a présenté le titre comme un ensemble « 3 in 1 game box » jugé intéressant pour son prix de 99 cents, avec cette citation : « Sure, you could look at Liberty Wings as a 3 in 1 game box, and in that sense Liberty Wings is a good value (mostly at its 99 cent asking price).
