"Well isn't this interesting, being on the other side of the announcements for once" Where to start.. Hello! I guess that makes sense. Me (Justin) and Nick, the Gnagi Bros, have been lifelong gamers. Started fresh out the womb on the SNES with A Link to the Past in the early 90s, and have something like a combined 500+ steam games between our two libraries. We are gamers, through and through, and like many gamers, always had the dream of making our own worlds to play in. JumpoCalypse (original working title, Flappy Souls - didn't want to get sued) is our first release title! Not our first attempt at messing around with game engines, somewhere on an old hard drive are some god awful RPG Maker 10-min games - but our first game we said "let's make something good enough to put out there." The idea was simple, mechanics so basic your grandma could pick up and play, yet challenging enough that seasoned gamers would have to put in effort. Honestly, I think we nailed it! There's times when I should have been bug fixing, and I would get caught trying to beat a level I already knew was perfect. When you're having fun playtesting, you know you've got something good. And while simple, we didn't want to make a half-arsed game. Nick, a former Kaizo Mario streamer, knows what makes a fun level, and me, a former Mechanical Engineer, just enjoys making new tools and mechanics to see if they work. A match made in heaven that lead to: Freeze Tokens, Warp Portals, Bounce Pads, Gravity Wells, and more. We enjoy games with progression and lots of content, and we weren't going to settle for anything less on our first launch. "First launch? So a second's coming?" Oh you best believe! We're already well into development on our next game, a pixel art RPG Zelda-like with extraction looter mechanics. Going back to our Link to the Past roots, and combining it with my love (and hate) of Escape from Tarkov. We're not looking to be a one-and-done game studio, we plan to be a dynamic duo who drops a new game every 2-3 years. As for this game.. well, THANK YOU!! Whether you bought it, wishlisted it, or if you're just here reading this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have no expectations, just a desire to produce a dream, so anyone being here is a wonderful feeling. If you guys enjoy JumpoCalypse, we've talked about taking time from our new game, to crank out a large handful of new bonus levels! And we're a big fan of the Enter the Gungeon style of dropping the new content for free. A big thank you to everyone who bought the game.. and also we're a little sick of the microtransactions and weak DLCs. Three cheers from us, to you guys, our day 1s !!! !!! !!!
