« To my shock, Nightfire is every bit as good as "Goldeneye." [Dec 2002, p.56] »

Electric Playground 85/100

« While not the best first person shooter on the Xbox, Nightfire does an admirable job of capturing the essence of a Bond film and should please the majority of 007 fans. »

Electronic Gaming Monthly 85/100

« It's not the nice visuals that make NightFire worth playing - the amazing gameplay is the main draw. [Jan 2003, p.196] »

GamingTrend 85/100

« With a truly Bond like storyline and atmosphere, excellent graphics, solid sound, and fun multiplayer, EA has a winner on their hands. »

« Incredibly short. [Jan 2003, p.63] »

« My only real complaint is with the vehicle missions, which seems to serve as nothing more than an interruption from what Eurocom has done so well -- creating a solid FPS. »

« The graphics are damn fine, with richly detailed environments, a speedy framerate, and accurately modeled polygonal ladies providing splendid eye candy. [Winter 2002, p.89] »

Rydoglol 9/10

« Simply the best James Bond video game (First Person Shooter wise at least). Still looks and plays great in 2026. If you’re on the fence about it, just play the first level. The level design, variety of how you can explore the level, the secrets, you’ll love it and be hooked. Played through it in a day, love it. »

« In my opinion this is THE bond game. Goldeneye is the most known but to me this is the best. Great story, Great characters, and the multiplayer is awesome. If the game was longer it would honestly be a 10 for me »

tils2190 8/10

« This is such a fun game. Voice acting is a bit funny, but the missions are smooth (although, short). The replayability is definitely there, and you can unlock multiplayer skins by completing missions on different difficulties. That gold PP9 is so sick. »

« "Nightfire" is one of the better James Bond games. The developer Eurocom had previously made "The World is Not Enough" for the Nintendo 64. And this plays very similar to that game. The story mode is cinematic, the graphics are solid and the multiplayer is plenty of fun. Overall, I would rate it with a 7.8 out of 10. »

« I’d rate 007 Nightfire a 5 out of 10. It does give you a pretty good Bond atmosphere and some solid mission variety, the overall experience was dragged down by poor controls. Aiming felt awkward, movement wasn’t smooth, and it made certain parts more frustrating than **** comparison, I much prefer Agent Under Fire. The gameplay there felt more refined and responsive, and overall it was a more enjoyable experience. Nightfire had potential, but it just didn’t deliver in the areas that mattered most. »

« This one did not age well at all, first half was decent I was enjoying the bond moments and story, the second half of the game is an absolute joke, it's like the Devs didn't even play the last few missions they're basically impossible on any difficulty above easy and literally 0 thought gone into making them enjoyable playable missions. Poor checkpoint system and story in the second half, even cheesing it with save states on emulation I struggled to finish the game, even played this with rose tinted glasses from my childhood and realised how mediocre this game actually was. I recall watching a YouTuber finishing the game during COVID and they mentioned something about development troubles in the latter part of the game? It must be true because it's incredibly blatant how little thought went into the second half of this game,I would not recommend this one unless you have nostalgia from childhood but even then don't expect much. »

« Good game. Don't play on xbox 360 though as it won't let you access driving levels. »
