HuniePop
HuniePop, développé et publié par HuniePot, est sorti le 19 janvier 2015 sur PC, Mac et Linux. Ce jeu indépendant mêle simulation, stratégie, RPG, réflexion et visual novel, et a été financé via Kickstarter. Il propose une approche centrée sur le gameplay combinant simulation de rencontres et puzzle match-3, avec de légers éléments de RPG, une présentation de type visual novel et un style d'écriture occidental. Le joueur, pouvant être homme ou femme, tente de séduire plusieurs femmes en leur offrant des cadeaux et en dialoguant avec elles, après avoir reçu l'aide de Kyu, une fée de l'amour déguisée. Disponible en versions censurée et non censurée, il utilise le moteur Unity et affiche un temps de parcours principal d'environ neuf heures et demie, contre trente-quatre heures et demie pour une complétion intégrale.
La presse a salué la qualité du titre : Hardcore Gamer a ainsi qualifié HuniePop de « pornography – darn fine pornography at that – but it’s also a shockingly good puzzle game », tout en notant parfois un décalage entre ces deux aspects. Certains joueurs sur Metacritic ont jugé qu'il s'agissait du meilleur jeu « Match 3 » disponible, citant un équilibre réussi entre difficulté et accessibilité, tandis que d'autres ont regretté que le titre ne soit pas plutôt un visual novel axé sur le dialogue. Le jeu, noté en moyenne 80,24, est proposé au prix de 9,75 euros.

« HuniePop is exactly what it needs to be. Exactly what it aims to be. I recommend installing the restoration patch before anything else. I don't see why you would play a 100% censored erotic game. I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was. I was expecting something like Super Star or other half-hearted games, but that wasn't the case. The game cleverly combines eroticism with gameplay that may seem relatively mundane at first, but later becomes very intriguing, thanks to the rewards for winning, of course. The artwork is superb, and so is the OST. The voice acting is not perfect, but most of the voices didn't bother me (with a few exceptions), although I can't say they were of particularly high quality. For Steam achievement hunters: this game has 20 achievements to be obtained. I am in the progress of trying to get them, but it is so far not as easy as I hoped, quite time-consuming to be honest. I will come back with an edit when I am done. What disappointed me, however, is the lack of widescreen support, despite the game being made in 2015. That's why the game automatically stretches when you start it, but I recommend removing the stretch from the settings. It's better to play with black bars on the left and right than to see the very creative (and downright beautiful) images stretched on the screen, turning them from enticing to ridiculous and comical. Besides the widescreen issue, I have one more thing to criticize, related to the requirements to beat the game. Avoiding spoilers, all I can say it is pretty hard to beat the game without using the internet. Looking past this, the game is, maybe not brilliant, but very interesting and pleasing to the eye, so to speak. »
