Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim, développé et publié par Behaviour Interactive, est sorti le 3 août 2022 sur PC (Microsoft Windows) via Steam. Ce visual novel propulse le joueur sur une île étrange où, après s'être réveillé avec la mémoire effacée, il croise quatre tueurs lascifs de Dead by Daylight. L'aventure, qui mêle humour et horreur, invite à démêler le mystère entourant la présence des personnages et les murmures de l'océan, tout en draguant ces derniers à travers des choix, des badinages et des mini-jeux aguicheurs comme des questionnaires ou de la découpe de viande. Plusieurs fins uniques sont déblocables pour chaque tueur, allant du grand amour à l'amitié ou à la haine, et l'achat du titre offre deux objets exclusifs dans Dead by Daylight. Réalisé sous Unity, le jeu affiche un temps de parcours d'environ deux heures trente pour l'histoire principale et huit heures trente pour un complet, pour un prix de 9,99 euros.
L'accueil critique s'est révélé favorable, avec un score de 72 sur Metacritic et de 70 sur OpenCritic. La presse a salué l'expérience, Dexerto y voyant un besoin inattendu comblé pour les fans de longue date et NME jugeant que la parodie de dating sim satisfait tant les amateurs de visual novels que ceux de Dead by Daylight. Certains joueurs, de leur côté, ont apprécié l'interface soignée, l'humour et la possibilité de mieux connaître les tueurs, tout en recommandant le titre à ceux ayant joué au jeu original.

This alternate universe version of these Killers and Survivors turns what we know about them on its head while we try to stay alive, uncover the mystery of Murderer’s Island, and axe any unfavorable possible romances from the running in slick, self-aware, and completely over the top reality-show style gameplay. »

« The game is fun overall, especially if you've spent time on the actual Dead by Daylight game. Seeing some of the characters you're used to either hook, teabag or run from spend time on a vacation island makes up for a great moment. Plus, it's cheap enough to excuse for it's short duration. »
