Hexyz Force, développé par Sting, Inc. et publié par Atlus USA, est un jeu de rôle traditionnel sorti sur PlayStation Portable en juillet 2010. L'aventure se déroule dans le monde de Berge, qui présente deux facettes : l'une lumineuse et l'autre sombre. Dès le début, le joueur peut choisir entre deux protagonistes : Cecilia, une prêtresse, pour le scénario de la lumière, ou Leevan, un chevalier, pour le versant obscur. Ce choix modifie fondamentalement le cadre, l'histoire et les personnages rencontrés.
L'accueil réservé au titre est partagé. RPG Fan s'est dit conquis, qualifiant le jeu d'« unputdownable » et d'excellent ajout à la bibliothèque de tout possesseur de PSP. My Gamer estime que le jeu ne fait rien de mal mais qu'il ne parvient pas à exceller dans un domaine particulier. Du côté des joueurs, certains louent sur Metacritic un « RPG fantastique » au polissage remarquable, tandis que d'autres le décrivent comme un bon JRPG oublié.

« Hexyz force is undoubtedly a good JRPG that has been forgotten. There are no sequel announcements, it is just hexyz force. I remember when I first play this game, I didn't stop playing it until it was time to sleep. It was very interesting. Except for the fact that almost all the females has gigantic melons. « A truly fantastic RPG. Combat and exploration are nothing new to the series, and even tired out, but this game brings it back in a great way. Highly polished combat gives the classic set up of skills and magic, but with a fresh face. However, this game in most circumstances would only be worthy of a 7, but it does one thing staple to the RPG genre so masterfully, it earns itself a 10. This game has an incredible, deep, lovable story. Enjoy many classic cliche's done with fresh pizazz, and a heavy dose of Japanese culture. Any fan of classic jRPG's will absolutely love this one. »
