Feeding Frenzy
Feeding Frenzy
Description (IGDB)
Slurp, gulp, and crunch your way all along the Frenzy Coast in Feeding Frenzy! The rules here are simple: Eat anything that's smaller than you and swim clear of everything else. The more you eat, the bigger you get, and the bigger you get, the closer you come to taking on the fearsome Shark King. Starfish bubbles don't help you grow, but they’re an easy way to boost your score. Oysters offer up bonus points in the form of pearls, but be quick or the shell could snap shut with you inside! Nibbling on the tail of a patrolling barracuda is a risky way to earn extra points—he can turn on you in an instant. And the jellyfish - well, it's best to swim clear of them altogether. Did you know that tuna can swim up to 50 miles per hour? Or that a parrot fish can change its gender? Feeding Frenzy includes more than four dozen fascinating fish facts like these - one between each game level.

Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)
« The action gets fast and frantic, and that's what keeps you interested and engrossed. »
« An impressively fun merger of colorful undersea graphics and gameplay standards from the arcade's yesteryears make this one-player treat a name that's hard to stop nibbling on. [Jun 2006, p.62] »
« It does seem a little pricey for single-player filet feasting, but it's also very addictive. »
« The game is relatively easy, and even with the additional challenges that pop up in each round, most will have no problem breezing through the game. Still, the experience is fun while it lasts. »
« A rare breed of game that anyone can pick up and play. [Issue#6, p.120] »
« Overall, FF is a nice little diversion that is fun to play in little 10 to 15 minute spurts. The only way I can recommend Feeding Frenzy for its $10 asking price is if you really like these addictive little gobble fests. »
« Feeding Frenzy is an easy going and stress free game that is perfect for wasting some time. »
« With such simplistic mechanics, meager challenge and lack of game modes, it's difficult to recommend spending your Microsoft Points on this one. It's got a sense of humor for sure, but in the face of many more robust and engaging XBLA titles, Feeding Frenzy falls short. »
Avis des Joueurs (Metacritic)
« Feeding Frenzy is a unique game, simple but fun and addictive, the sound when we eat fish makes it addictive »
« Compared to the second installment of this game, this one lacks creativity, and the gameplay appears dull. However, I’m not gonna lie, this game is a good pastime, and I like the fun facts it offers at the end of each round. »
« In Feeding Frenzy, you play as a magic fish. Our silent protagonist has seen both the cruelty that the ocean can offer but also the peril. In his wide, white eyes we see his longing for something more. He was not born to be but a small fish. He was born for greatness, for the wanton pleasures that could never be given to a fish such as he. Then one autumn night, the kind of night where the wind listens to the earth and the earth to it, the fish had a thought: "I'm going to eat my friends. I'm going to eat them all." And he did. Soon he became the biggest fish of all. The rest of the seabed called him Uncle Bigfish McEatsfriends. He was never an uncle. During the day, he commanded small fish, once his comrades, in the war against the Hell Trouts of the Red Sea. By night, he engaged in unspeakable acts of debauchery (bass to mouth) with Hell Trout prisoners. Truly, he had become an instrument of the fish god of evil SatanFish. One crisp morning, he caught sight of the tail of a fish, the largest he had ever seen. "It's bigger even than me" he said with his mouth. Wasting no time, he devoured the tail of the fish along with the rest of it and he was never seen **** ate himself! Come on! »
« Repetitive and dull, this game isn't bad but the only reason you'd play it is if you got it with the XBLA Compilation Disc. Certinaly better than a number of arcade games, but not the best. »
