Family Fun Football
Family Fun Football, publié par Tecmo, est sorti le 29 septembre 2009 sur Wii dans le genre sport. Ce jeu de sport arcade et casual destiné à tous permet de jouer contre amis et famille dans des stades de football thématiques et colorés, y compris dans l'espace. Les participants peuvent choisir parmi des personnages excentriques incluant animaux, extraterrestres et robots, ou débloquer un mode pour incarner leur propre Mii. La possibilité de coacher des équipes via un système offensif et défensif simplifié, couplée à des contrôles intuitifs à la Wiimote, vise à offrir une expérience festive et accessible à tout âge.
Des critiques ont exprimé leur déception à l'égard du titre. Nintendo Power a ainsi estimé que « FFF starts simple and later becomes boring and monotonous. [Nov 2009, p.89] ». IGN a déclaré : « Family Fun Football is a Tecmo Bowl disaster. It's clear that it wants to be the classic, but it takes a hard dive in quality. ». Certains joueurs ont également partagé des avis personnels, comme en témoigne ce retour publié sur Metacritic : « I have been playing games since the Atari 2600 and Space Invaders in the arcades. « I have been playing games since the Atari 2600 and Space Invaders in the arcades. It has been difficult for me to find a decent, modern football game where it is more about the sport than player specs. I loved Tecmo Bowl on the NES and Great Football on Sega's Master System because they were simple games. Then I get a Wii and discover Family Fun Football. This is a sports game that concentrated more about the heart of the sport than it does about anything else. Controls are simple and easy to use and character animations are great and somewhat comical. If this game is not approached with expectations found in games like Madden then a lot of fun can be had. »
