« This is a game that becomes a real battery-killer if you give it a shot. Also, because on my (shockingly old!) iPhone 6 Plus, the game drains battery quickly. It might not click right away, but it will click eventually, and there's so much of a rewarding experience here, with new content to unlock. I do wish there was iCloud, so that I could keep my progress going on my iPad and maybe not kill my battery so fast. However you play it, this is a must-play, and a game I don't see leaving my iPhone any time soon. Just be patient. »
« Visually rich and a real corker of a design, Card Thief is a must-try for puzzle or solitaire aficionados and a good starting point as any for newcomers. »
« I could see Card Thief being a disappointment to those who like Card Crawl's straightforward translation of dungeon-crawling into a Solitaire game. But, if you enjoyed Card Crawl and were hoping for a successor that would take its concepts to the next level, Card Thief just might grab a permanent spot in your game folder. »
« The graphics are stylish and stunning on Retina screens, the music and sounds are captivating and immersive, and the controls are simple. The rules do take a bit of getting used to, and even after you go through the tutorial you may be confused as to how some things work, but I think the best way to get better is to just keep playing and observing how everything plays out. Card Thief is also a great challenge, and it will keep you busy for quite some time, so you’re definitely getting a lot of bang for your buck. »
« After Card Crawl, Tinytouchtales delivers another great mixture of genres based on cards. Card Thief manages to be simple in its concept but deep and compelling at every game, even if it has some flaws between balance and longevity. »
« Card Thief has its heartbreaking moments, but beneath its occasional hiccups sits a fun card game which certainly satiates our hunger for strategy. »
« It might get repetitive if you play it for too long, but the initial draw (pun not intended) means you’ll soon be quite endeared towards it. Even if it does take you a while to unlock any equipment upgrades. »
« With Card Thief you will experience many impressive moments. However, this mix of card game and stealth does not avoid quite repetitive playability and inconvenience in several parts. »
