Critiques de la Presse (Metacritic)

GamePro 95/100

« Blue Dragon might not be sheer perfection, but it still delivers a truly exemplary console RPG experience by thoughtfully executing and expanding on longtime genre traditions. »

Digital Entertainment News 93/100

« While Blue Dragon is clearly old school in its cartoonish art and turn-based gameplay mechanics, very distinctly different from a completely next-gen RPG-style title like Mass Effect, Blue Dragon definitely delivers something to the 360 that the original Xbox system never had enough of: an RPG so original, exciting and appealing, it will make PlayStation fans feel like they’re missing out on something important in the RPG landscape. »

Cheat Code Central 92/100

« Classic RPG gaming brought to the next gen. Sure it's no political drama, and it won't have you aggressively button-mashing, but Blue Dragon promises engaging gameplay that you'll not only want to play through once, but revisit again and again. »

Computer and Video Games 90/100

« Blue Dragon finds the perfect balance between linearity and excessive freedom - it doesn't embarrass you by holding your hand, and yet it doesn't just leave you alone crying in the supermarket. Hironobu Sakaguchi (the FF creator and Blue Dragon mastermind) is as good a parent as Shigeru Miyamoto. »

360 Gamer Magazine UK 90/100

« Where so many RPGs deliver dry experiences that adhere too closely to traditional type, Mistwalker delivers an RPG that pushes the genre in all the right directions. With supreme technical qualities and gameplay to match, it’s little wonder that Blue Dragon has revived the 360 in Japan. [JPN Import] »

Play Magazine 90/100

« If the market allows giant-budget RPGs in the "Final Fantasy VII" mold to continue to be made(and there is some doubt as to that), they're going to look and feel a lot like this game...and for that reason alone, Blue Dragon is an absolute must-play. [JPN Import; Feb 2007, p.74] »

games(TM) 90/100

« It does as much as "Final Fantasy XII" to inspire hope that RPG developers are now beginning to look forward. In this instance, looking ahead results in a slightly more linear experience than some hardened role-playing game fans may appreciate. [Feb 2007, p.116] »

Official Xbox Magazine UK 90/100

« Enormous, intelligent, wily - a true dragon. [Sept 2007, p.98] »

« Juegazo, con el estilo artístico a cargo de Akira Toriyama, un viaje espectacular con una BSO increíble. »

« I finally played it again and finished it after so long. I didn't remember it had spanish voice acting, although they could have done without it because it's so awful, Marumaro is infuriating. Otherwise, it's a decent JRPG, but somewhat childish and with a pretty generic plot. The characters aren't anything special either. »

« i love blue dragon. it's my favorite game of all time and could honestly play it any day. i understand that some people find the graphics bad, which is fair, but you have to remember that this game came out in 2006. its also not super replayable, so i recommend giving it a few months between playthroughs. However i think that the story is fantastic and Akira Toriyama's art style is stunning. It may be nostalgia as this is a game i played as a kid and enjoy it very much »

« Me parece vergonzoso que este juego solo tenga un 79 cuando es mejor que cualquier Final Fantasy que no baja ninguno del 90. Poco más que añadir. Juegazo JRPG »

BleedingJester 7/10

« Im gonna start this off with the positives this is a fun game and compared to a lot of JRPGs especially older ones the grinding isnt bad partially since the leveling system is split between the character's level and the class level both using two different types of exp with the Class level being far more important and once you know the right way to grind your class it takes something that could have taken days and turns it into hours making this a decent game to start playing JRPGs with (as long as you have a glass guide), the art style of the game will look familiar to Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest fans since Akira Toriyama and while I wont spoil the Story it's also pretty good and works very well with the art style, it also works very well and I truly hope this gets ported to PC at some point so more people can play this great game now for the bad I think the sound design is the worst part of the game a lot of the music is just generic JRPG music and would work fine in most JRPGs but the Boss music is truly awful there is a single song that is used on repeat every boss fight and while you are probably thinking that doesn't sound bad well in some areas you will end up fighting a boss every minute and the boss fights can drag on and if you lose the fight you'll go to a nearby checkpoint and will basically immediately fight the boss and hear the music again this alone is why I rated this game a 6it got so bad that I literally had to take off my headphones so I couldn't hear it cause I was getting a migraine, the next issue is the difficulty spikes it felt random in a lot of ways with some areas being super hard and compared to the previous areas it honestly just ruined the pacing of the game, the last negative I want to point out is the animations they are good but some of them take roughly a minute and yeah a Minute isn't long by itself but that adds up so you'll end up fighting the same opponent twenty time well that's roughly twenty minutes of you watching the same animation repeatedly with no way of skipping which made me partially hate the combat which while not anything unique in the JRPG genre it was still fun at first anyway but after I got tired of seeing the same animation play repeatedly for the enemies I just started to avoid combat in general which made me under leveled near the end of the game, there are mechanics that get very little explanation and these aren't minor mechanics that don't mean anything these are the class mechanics which affects how you grind, how you use certain characters in combat, and if you'll even be able to progress after a certain point in the game and honestly the way it's explained made it seem like it's not important but it's very important in fact its so important its basically the core of the game I do think this game is worth playing if you are a fan of JRPGs and have never played it before or want to get into JRPG games and its definitely one of the best Xbox Exclusives even now and its definitely a great JRPG in general but you should look at a guide so you don't end up having to go back roughly 6 hours of playtime and then spend roughly 5 hours grinding so you can go »

« I did enjoy this game somewhat when I played it, but it's also the game that taught me jrpgs are not for me. The turn-based combat was fun and worked for me, but the environments were bland, characters forgettable, and story exceptionally standard. »

« I am blown away by these scores. It is so incredibly boring. I spent a night and a morning on this and that is time I'll never get back and it was a truly unentertaining time. There is nothing to like, from the battle system, to the graphics, the story, the OST. I did notice a couple of nice touches in the sound but nothing special and a lot of the rest of the sound was disappointing. I am currently playing FF13 too and it blows this away on all fronts. Yet another one in the trade in pile thanks to endless praise on a pile of junk. I'm just glad it was super cheap. Still have to spend fuel money to go and trade this in. Bad everything, wasted my time and money. 0/10 »

« One of the best JRPGs on the 360, and while that may not be saying much, this game is truly fantastic in it's own right. »
