Rockstar Games is an American video game publisher based in New York City. The company was established in December 1998 as a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive, using the assets Take-Two had previously acquired from BMG Interactive. Founding members of the company were Terry Donovan, Gary Foreman, Dan and Sam Houser, and Jamie King, who worked for Take-Two at the time, and of which the Houser brothers were previously executives at BMG Interactive. Sam Houser heads the studio as president.

Square Enix Product Development Division 5
After the merging with Enix Corporation, Development Division 5 would resume the release of All Star Pro-Wrestling III. The Osaka studio would enter a state of relative dormancy as priorities within the corporation shifted to their biggest hits, however the popularity of Kingdom Hearts gave the team a second wind. They would be directed by Nomura on making side entries of Kingdom Hearts such as the PS2 version of Chain of Memories, and Birth By Sleep. In September 2010, the Square Enix 1st Production Department initiative would merge this studio with Product Development Department 1 to create more big sellers, especially within Kingdom Hearts.

Gamtec
Gamtec (Chinese: 三協資訊 pinyin: sān xié zī xùn) is a game developer and publisher based in Taichung City, Taiwan that was established in June 1989. The company developed a number of Mega Drive, NES/Famicom and PC games. They claimed to have developed for the Gamate, Super A'Can, arcade, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. It often acted as a contract developer for other companies so it is frequently not credited in games it worked on. Gamtec has had a notable presence in Taiwan's gaming industry not only for being one of the most notable Tawianese Mega Drive developers, many of their members have either formed or joined other Taiwanese developers such as AV Artisan, Chuanpu Technology, Lonaisoft, Super Game, and Vast Fame. Much of their contract work has been done under a number of notable publishers; including possibly Bit Corp., Ka Sheng, Sintax, Sun Mixing, and SKOB.

AWE Games
AWE Games (AKA AWE Productions, Inc. as their alternate name, also used in their logo) is an American studio development of video games founded in 1992 and still active. This video game development company was founded in April 1997 by James M. Wheeler. They tend a lot of time making most licensed games for recycle assets during their times.
Wolf Team
Wolf Team, or Wolfteam, was a Japanese video game development studio under Telenet Japan. The studio developed a variety of games before becoming recognized as the main developer of the Tales of series. Instead of publishing through Telenet Japan, Wolf Team struck a contract to have Namco publish the Tales of games. In 2003, Namco purchased a majority stake in Wolf Team and renamed it to Namco Tales Studio.
Tiertex Design Studios
Tiertex Design Studios Limited was a British software development company and former video game developer based in Macclesfield, England; it was founded in 1986, focusing on porting games to home computers and handheld platforms. It developed over 200 titles, including many under license from companies such as THQ, Disney Interactive and BBC Multimedia. In later years, it struggled with the move to the seventh generation of video game consoles so pivoted to developing USB development boards and displays for industrial purposes. On 5 August 2021, the company closed its doors.

They have garnered positive attention from fans and game media alike for embracing 2D game design in a market dominated by 3D games. The company was formed from members of the Atlus project team which had developed Princess Crown for the Sega Saturn in 1997.

Square Enix Business Division 3
Business Division 3 (第3ビジネス・ディビジョン, Dai San Bijinesu Dibijon?) was an internal development division within Square Enix. It was formed in 2013 after an internal restructuring, and initially focused on remasters, ports and mobile titles in the Kingdom Hearts series, eventually moving on to developing new mainline titles in said series. In 2019, following another internal restructuring, Business Division 3 was merged with Business Division 1 and Business Division 4 to form Creative Business Unit I.

Make Software, Inc. (株式会社メイクソフトウェア) was an Osaka-based company that made and sold print seal machines (photo booths). It was established in December 1988 and incorporated in November 1989. The company was originally founded as a video game developer, which it was until December 2000. The president was Hiro Yamamoto (山本廣), formerly of Nichibutsu. Make Software entered the print seal machine market in 1997 during the "purikura boom." Unfortunately, sales and revenue decreased in later years, and the company declared bankruptcy on October 24, 2018. The print seal machine business was transferred to Kaga Devices on December 1, 2018.
